San Remo

San Remo is the last town on the mainland before crossing the bridge over to Phillip Island.  Boasting many cafes, restaurants, bakeries, pubs/hotels and gift shops, San Remo is a great place to stop on your way on or off the island.

Throughout the year there are many events taking place in San Remo from daily Pelican feedings to the Channel Challenge where swimmers battle the cold and current of the channel and swim to Phillip Island.  The foreshore area has a large grass area with benches, a bbq and a playground, making it a popular area for families and picnic lunches.

Much of the San Remo accommodation is located on the hills above the main township, offering fantastic views of Phillip Island and Cape Woolamai.
