Smiths Beach

Situated on the open ocean side of Phillip Island, Smiths Beach is a popular spot for families, beachgoers and surfers.  The beach itself is semi sheltered and receives surf most of the year around, making it an ideal location to learn how to surf.  During the summer months Smiths Beach is patrolled by Surf Lifesaving volunteers.

There are many holiday homes around Smiths Beach, some with unmatched ocean views.  Located just a short walk to the Grand Prix circuit, Smiths Beach is a popular location for guests visiting the track.

The Smiths Beach General Store located a minute from the water’s edge is a great spot to pick up lunch or a coffee while spending the day at the beach. Just next door is Island Surfboards, one of the country’s best surf schools. Offering rentals, lessons, shaping, sales and clothing they are a one stop shop.
